About 250,000 veterans transition from military service every year joining the over 14-million veterans in the workforce. While many companies recognize the value that these veterans bring to the workforce, they may struggle to implement a successful veteran employment program. Whether looking to hire one veteran or 1,000, organizations must know how to source, attract, and hire the right candidate - with the right skills.  More importantly, implementing an onboarding process and instilling a culture that fosters engagement and retention helps your veteran employees succeed while simultaneously supporting your business goals.  
In this interactive session, you will learn how to implement the critical components of a successful Veteran Hiring Program that’s both scalable and sustainable. 

Learning Objectives:
1. Manage the Veteran hiring process - from sourcing candidates to recruiting, to resume, to interview and offer. After this session, you will know where to source, how to identify skill-sets, structure the offer, conduct the interview, and how to purposefully onboard your new hire.  
2. Onboarding your Veteran hire - after this session, you will have tips and resources to create an effective onboarding of your veteran hire. 
3. Cultivating a Military-friendly Culture and Work Environment that leads to retention and productivity.  You will have the tools you need to go beyond stereotypes and myths and can create an environment of diversity, inclusion, and belonging.
